Caring for your roses from Gift Baskets & Flowers

Unpack roses immediately.
Placing the blade at an angle, cut ½" off of stems with knife or sharp rose pruners, preferably under water to avoid air bubbles.
Remove any lower leaves that will be under water in vase.
Mix contents packet with one quart of warm water in a non-metallic vase.
Place roses in vase and display in a cool location out of direct sunlight.
If a rose's neck should start to bend, re-cut its stem under warm water.
